Back in November, Universal Pictures acquired director M. Night Shyamalan's new thriller The Visit (formerly known as Sundowning), which has been set for release on September 11. Today, we have the first poster, which reveals the three rules that two siblings must follow when visiting their grandmother's house. While these rules may seem harmless, the last one certainly is disconcerting, especially with the bloody handprints at the bottom.

Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable) and producer Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious series) welcome you to Universal Pictures' The Visit. Shyamalan returns to his roots with the terrifying story of a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents' remote Pennsylvania farm for a weeklong trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.

Kathryn Hahn and Ed Oxenbould lead a cast that also includes Erica Lynne Marszalek, Peter McRobbie, Olivia DeJonge, Deanna Dunagan, Benjamin Kanes, Jon Douglas Rainey, Brian Gildea and Shawn Gonzalez. The first trailer for The Visit was shown during select screenings of Unfriended last weekend, but the director M. Night Shyamalan revealed on his Twitter page that the trailer will arrive online sometime this week. In the meantime, take a look at the first poster for The Visit below, arriving in theaters September 11.
