The wait is almost over! The Walking Dead returns from its three-month hiatus with the midseason premiere, "What Happened and What's Going On", airing Sunday, February 8 at 9 PM ET on AMC. Today, the network has released the first two minutes of the midseason premiere, which reveals plenty of intriguing information. Be warned, though, if you still haven't watched December's shocking midseason finale, "Coda", there will be spoilers below.

The episode opens with the group burying Beth. Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) says a few words during her burial procession, as Maggie (Lauren Cohan) breaks down in tears from losing her little sister. Many have wondered where the group will head next after "Coda", and it seems this scene has provided us with an answer. Noah (Tyler James Williams) is seen talking with Rick (Andrew Lincoln), revealing that Beth had planned on escaping with him to Richmond, Virginia. After this conversation, Rick is seen discussing the prospect of journeying to Richmond with Glenn (Steven Yeun), Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Michonne (Danai Gurira).

After the tragic events of the mid-season finale - as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, DC - Rick Grimes' band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day-to-day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp onto what little they have left. Check out the opening moments of "What Happened and What's Going On" before tuning in this Sunday.
