It seems that one of the stars of FX's biggest series will now be a series regular on their latest series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Walton Goggins has been elevated to a series regular on the hit Western series Justified.

Goggins, who previously starred as Shane Vendrell on FX's hit series The Shield, plays Boyd Crowder on the new show, a character that was almost killed off in the pilot.

"He's amazing, and he's just a great guy," showrunner Graham Yost said. "There had to be charm in 'Boyd.' We knew with 'Boyd,' going in, that who we cast was critical for the success of the pilot, therefore getting it to become a series. So Goggins' casting was really instrumental. Without him, we wouldn't be on the air."

We reported earlier this week that the series had been picked up for a second season on FX. The series stars Timothy Olyphant, Nick Searcy, Jacob Pitts, Erica N. Tazel, Joelle Carter and Natalie Zea and Justified airs on Tuesday nights at 10 PM ET on FX.
