Warner Bros. Confirms 3D Releases for ‘Clash of the Titans’ and ‘Harry Potter 7’

The studio also confirms that ‘Clash of the Titans’ will bow a week later on April 2.

Clash of the Titans and Harry Potter 7 confirmed for a 3D releases Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that the upcoming feature film Clash of the Titans will be released in 3D worldwide on April 2, 2010. The film will simultaneously be released in 2D.

In making the announcement, Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures, said, "We are experienced and have been successful in the conversion of 2D to 3D going back to such hits as The Polar Express, select scenes in Superman Returns and the last two Harry Potter films."

Fellman continued, "We are confident in the constantly evolving 3D technology, and the results for Clash of the Titans will be presented onscreen with the highest-quality images available today. Based on our track record, we know that audiences are embracing the RealD and IMAX experiences, and we see many opportunities on our film slate to provide moviegoers with these great options at the multiplex."

Jeff Robinov, President, Warner Bros. Picture Group, said, "We're excited about 3D and look forward to bringing a rich, involving visual experience to audiences around the world."

Additional titles on Warner Bros. Pictures' 2010 film slate that will be released in 3D (in addition to 2D) include Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (July), Guardians of Ga'Hoole (September) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (November).

Warner Bros. Pictures' 3D partner on Clash of the Titans, Prime Focus, was one of the visual effects vendors on Avatar, which received an Academy Award nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects.

Clash of the Titans was released April 2nd, 2010.

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore was released July 30th, 2010.

Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole was released September 24th, 2010.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 was released November 19th, 2010.

Avatar was released December 18th, 2009.

    I'll watch it, I might not care for 3D aspect though. I heard that some of the Harry Potter films or all of them will be converted into 3D.

    This series would be better as a TV series that way, we get to see what really happens in depth.

      I give up.I grow tired of bitching about things such as 3D and remakes.I kind of have an idea about the remakes anyway.But apparently 3D is making a come back.Might as well grin and bear it.

        that's it, I'm no longer watching films that have 3D in them. If Bond has it, I'll stop watching that Franchise as well.
