Warner Bros. Sets ‘Sherlock Holmes 2’ Release Date!

http://movieweb.com/movie/sherlock-holmes-a-game-of-shadows/Sherlock Holmes 2 returning to theaters next December It seems that we'll be seeing a sequel with two popular London detectives sooner than originally believed. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Warner Bros. has set a December 16, 2011 release date for Sherlock Holmes 2.

The news was revealed by Warner Bros. chairman Barry Meyer at the Time Warner investor day in New York City. Meyer also revealed in his presentation that the studio is "nearing" a green light for one of its many DC Comics adaptations in development, The Flash, although it wasn't clear when an official announcement on the film would be made. Meyer also said that the studio was considering a holiday 2012 release for the next Superman film as well.

Among the studio's other DC adaptations are Wonder Woman and Aquaman. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further news of WB's comic book films, or Sherlock Holmes 2 as soon as we have more information.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows was released December 16th, 2011.

The Flash comes to theaters March 23rd, 2018.

Wonder Woman and The Flash... Finally!! Can't have a JL movie without theses movies out first. Sweet. And Aquaman. That's cool, too. Aquaman is like a C-list character in the JL, but that's cool they are thinking about a movie for him too. I wonder who will be WW... They need a good actress to pull it off. Her movie is waaay overdue. This is very good news.

@CelluloidDreams you arent a fan of "Sherlock Holmes" but yet your avatar pic is of Rachel McAdams' character Irene Adler? Why is it that everything you have EVER said over the past 3 years has pissed me off? You never make sense and ONLY seem to like stupid films that no one cares about. This film was fantastic and cant POSSIBLY be categorized as anything outside of awesome. You dont have to be a fan of Holmes and the story I suppose, but it makes no sense when youre a fan of Troll 2 and Sarah Jessica Parker films.

Is Brad Pitt gonna do a British accent or does the character require him to be American?

Okay, @Vamp, you caught me, I was dialoguing and on a roll - "amazing" might not have been the best word, but I certainly enjoyed the film!

Sherlock Holmes was downright amazing. Sign me up for a sequel. Hopefully, Brad Pitt will join the cast.

At least it'll be hear earlier than anticipated. And hopefully they'll stick with another original idea that won't focus too heavily on the Moriarty subplot from the first film.

Anyone Remember the Flash Tv live action series from the 80's? I thought they did a good job with the casting and the special effects( for the time).
