It may have taken awhile but Barbara Streisand's star is finally rising on DVD.

In a story from The Digital Bits, Warner Bros. will be releasing Streisand's A Star is Born on November 28.

This release marks the film's first in the DVD format.

In the film, talented rock star John Norman Howard (Kris Kristofferson) has seen his career begin to decline. Too many years of concerts and managers and life on the road have made him cynical and the monotony has taken its toll. Then he meets the innocent, pure and very talented singer Esther Hoffman (Barbra Streisand). As one of his songs in the movie says "I'm gonna take you girl, I'm gonna show you how." And he does. He shows Esther the way to stardom while forsaking his own career. As they fall in love, her success only makes his decline even more apparent.

The A Star is Born DVD will be featured in anamorphic widescreen video and remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The DVD will contain an audio commentary with Streisand herself, a wardrobe test video with a commentary track by Streisand, and deleted scenes with another optional commentary by Streisand.
