Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and Machinima.com have premiered the first episode of live action digital series Mortal Kombat: Legacy from director Kevin Tancharoen. Check out the episode below!




Jeri Ryan stars as Sonya Blade, Michael Jai White as Major Jackson 'Jax' Briggs and Darren Shahlavi as Kano.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy is an anthology of nine live action shorts, and brings to life the motivation behind each character's participation in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game's universe.

    I could care less if Liu Kang is in it or not. To me, he's like Wolverine from the X-Men movies, he dominates too much of the story/time.

    Really wish they had gotten a hot young actress to play Sonya instead of that old and ugly women they have now. Other wise i liked the first episode.

    Liu Kang is essiential character in the Mortal Kombat universe but at the same time the least intresting. The Scorpion and SubZero storyline are the best. Cant wait for the new game.

    One more thing, every goes well in all the shorts I expect the same type quality or i should say the same type look and feel of a street fighter film(s) that grittyness, dark, realistic type of action to it.

    The audio was a little out of sync with video for a few minutes, but all n all pretty good, waiting for the next. 4/5.

    @cupid Yeah. You just can't have Mortal Kombat with out Liu Kang, winner of the tournament in the original game. I mean, they mentioned that he could appear when the web series was announced but there hasn't been anything about it since.
