According to Variety, talkshow host Wayne Brady will make his feature debut in the indie romantic comedy I'm Perfect, starring alongside Sydney Tamiia Poitier. Also starring are Brad Dourif, Margaret Cho and Malcolm Jamal Warner.

The pic began lensing last month in Los Angeles.

Brady will play Lewis Bonds, a talented young advertising exec who, disillusioned with the dating scene, compiles a list of attributes of his ideal woman and sets out to find her.

Brandon Sonnier is helming the pic. His debut effort, 2003's "The Beat," made him the youngest director to ever compete in the Sundance Film Festival.
