According to The Hollywood Reporter, Broken Lizard has sold the sports comedy Nutcracker to Warner Bros. Pictures. Nutcracker marks the first project set up at the studio since the comedy group, whose members were behind Warners' The Dukes of Hazzard, signed their three-year first-look deal with the studio.

Broken Lizard -- which consists of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske -- is writing and will produce the film, which centers on the nastiest and dirtiest linebacker in the NFL who, when he starts to lose his skills, reluctantly turns to ballet to get his game back.
