According to Variety, Gold Circle Films has paired with Wes Craven's Craven/Maddalena Films to produce The Waiting, an indie horror pic penned by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White.

Described in the vein of '70s horror staples like Don't Look Now and Rosemary's Baby, the story follows a woman who believes she is being haunted by the ghost of her deceased child.

Snowden and White most recently collaborated on the script for Boogeyman, starring Barry Watson.

Craven and Maddalena recently completed production on DreamWorks' Red-Eye, starring stars Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy.

Also slated for production is a remake of Craven's The Hills Have Eyes, directed by Alex Aja and Gregory Levasseur. Pic's set up at Fox Searchlight, in turnaround from Dimension Films.
