Jason Clarke has joined Roland Emmerich's action drama White House Down. The film already has Channing Tatum, Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Woods attached to star.

The story centers a Secret Service agent (Channing Tatum), who must rescue the President (Jamie Foxx) during an attack on the White House. The actor will play Stenz, the leader of the militia that is responsible for the attack.

Roland Emmerich is directing from a script by James Vanderbilt.

The actor also stars alongside Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy in John Hillcoat's Lawless, arriving in theaters August 29th.

Production begins later this month in Montreal.
