20th Century Fox is rumored to currently be seeking writers for Die Hard 6, which, according to Latino Review's El Mayimbe, will reunite Bruce Willis as John McClane with his Die Hard: With a Vengeance co-star Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus Carver.

Back in October 2010, we reported that Bruce Willis plans to retire his iconic John McClane character after Die Hard 6. Then in February 2013, just before A Good Day to Die Hard was released, the actor confirmed that the project is still moving forward. The last we heard about the sequel was in April 2013, when little-known writer Ben Trebilcook signed on to write the script. That report revealed that the project was tentatively entitled Die Hardest, with the story set to take place in Tokyo.

Now that 20th Century Fox is looking for a new writer, the Tokyo story line is likely being scrapped, since they plan on bringing Samuel L. Jackson's character, Harlem native Zeus Carver, back into the story. No director is attached at this time.

The franchise has taken John McClane all around the world, with 1988's Die Hard set in Los Angeles, 1990's Die Hard 2: Die Harder in Washington D.C., 1995's Die Hard: With a Vengeance taking place in New York, 2007's Live Free or Die Hard set in the nation's capitol again, and last year's A Good Day to Die Hard taking the New York cop to Russia.
