Next year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will help set the table for Warner Bros.' massive DC Comics universe, that will include Justice League Part 1, Justice League Part 2 and numerous stand alone movies showcasing the individual heroes. One of those movies is Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot as the title character and Chris Pine as her love interest Steve Trevor, which is scheduled to start production next month. Today we have a new report from JoBlo, which essentially confirms previous rumors while revealing that the story will actually be set a few months before the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The report also reveals that Batman himself will have a presence in Wonder Woman, watching her from afar as she battles the "winged demonic minions" of the villainous Ares. The site also claims that, after the climactic finale, Batman will approach Diana of Themyscira, to let her know that he's aware of her, which establishes their relationship and leads to her involvement in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This approach will give Diana a proper origin story, without interfering in the plot of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

It hasn't been confirmed if Ben Affleck himself will don the Batman suit again, but it seems likely, especially since he reprised his role in the upcoming Suicide Squad. This report also reveals that Wonder Woman's iconic Invisible Jet will be featured in the movie, but it won't be shown in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The jet will supposedly come into play when Diana and Steve Trevor leave her homeland of Paradise Island for the first time.

This report also claims that rumors about Wonder Woman being set in two different time periods are true, with the film set during World War I and present day. The story is said to be rooted in the original comic book stories, focusing on mythological elements. Ares and Circe, characters rumored to be played by Sean Bean and Eva Green, are the main villains, with Ares described as the "puppet master," who is behind-the-scenes "pulling the strings." Ares' costume will mirror his mythological armor from the comics, while Circe will wear a "cloth-based purple get-up."

Ares is said to have an "army of beasts" described as "red or green demonic monsters with horns and wings," who are said to be deployed to deter Wonder Woman from stopping Circe's mission. Circe herself is said to be rooted in sorcery, equipped with the power to turn men into beasts, who will take the form of a "Chimera-like monster" during her final battle with Wonder Woman. Circe is said to have infiltrated high levels of the government, manipulating these politicians into starting World War III, which Wonder Woman has to stop. This report also claims that Diana will tell Steve Trevor about her first battle with Circe, which took place in World War I, but it isn't known if this battle will be shown in a flashback sequence. Despite the two different settings, a majority of the film will be set in present day. What do you think about these new details?
