When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next year, kicking off the DC Comics cinematic universe, fans will be introduced to the new Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot. Before the actress joins the rest of her new superhero friends in Justice League Part 1, she will star in her own stand alone Wonder Woman movie, set for release on June 23, 2017. Aside from Chris Pine, who is playing Wonder Woman's love interest, Steve Trevor, no other cast members or characters have been confirmed for that project yet. Today we have yet another unconfirmed rumor from Heroic Hollywood, which claims that Warner Bros. is eyeing Eva Green and Sean Bean for villainous roles. There will be potential SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

According to this report, Sean Bean is being eyed to play Ares, the God of War, while Eva Green is being courted to play Circe The Sorceress. Warner Bros. has a tendency to bring back actors who have a long history with the story, and both Sean Bean and Eva Green have worked with the studio numerous times in the past. Sean Bean previously starred in Troy and this year's Jupiter Ascending, while Eva Green starred in Dark Shadows and 300: Rise of an Empire.

Both of these characters are based on Greek mythology characters, and are said to be Wonder Woman's biggest adversaries. The site adds that it isn't known if Warner Bros. has made any official offers to either of the actors at this time. This report comes just one day after it was revealed that this superhero movie will begin production in November, with another recent report claiming that shooting will take place in Italy, with Interstellar and Spectre cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema signing on for the project.

No story details have been confirmed yet, but there have been reports claiming that part of the plot is set on Wonder Woman's homeland of Themyscira, with other portions set in the 1920s, during World War I. Another report seemed to back that rumor up, claiming that Gal Gadot's title character will be "hundreds of years old" when we first see her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With production starting in just a few short months, hopefully we'll get some confirmed plot details soon.

Sean Bean most recently starred in Pixels, and he will next be seen in The Martian, which is set to hit theaters on October 2. Eva Green is coming off roles in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, White Bird in a Blizzard and The Salvation. She will next be seen in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, arriving in theaters March 4, 2016. Do you think these actors would be perfect to play Wonder Woman's villains?
