Over the weekend, a piece of X-Men: Apocalypse concept art revealed a battle scene where young Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) is seen shooting his energy blast towards an unspecified enemy, while Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) takes cover nearby. Today we have a better look at this piece of artwork, which reveals that Cyclops is aiming his visor at none other than Storm (Alexandra Shipp), who appears to be sporting a mohawk. Why are Cyclops and Storm battling each other? There very well could be a simple explanation.

It's possible that this artwork depicts a scene from the iconic Danger Room, a training room which has only been shown on screen in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, where mutants engage in an exercise against the Sentinels. Back in February, director Bryan Singer released a photo from the set that appeared to be the door to Cerebro, but the filmmaker teased that there will be "something new" behind this "old door." Naturally, we have no confirmation that this artwork could be showing a scene in the Danger Room, but it certainly would explain why Cyclops is attacking his fellow mutant Storm.

X-Men: Apocalypse is currently in production in Montreal, but there is still much we don't know about the story at this point. It's completely possible that the young Storm does actually turn bad, which would be the only other logical reason for this attack scene concept art, but it's all speculation at this point. While we wait for more details to come in, check out the latest concept art from X-Men: Apocalypse, and stay tuned for more details and photos as production continues.
