Back in April, we showed you some X-Men Apocalypse artwork that featured Professor X (James McAvoy) wearing his Cerebro helmet. Today, director Bryan Singer revealed the first photo of the actual Cerebro set. Unfortunately, this photo doesn't include James McAvoy, but perhaps we'll get to see him on the Cerebro set soon as production continues on X-Men: Apocalypse.

Even though production has been under way for a few months, there is still very little we know about the story at this point. We know the plot is set in the year 1983, and that this sequel will wrap up the trilogy that includes 2011's X-Men: First Class and last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past. The last movie altered the present-day X-Men timeline considerably, but it isn't known if that will be explored any further in this movie, especially since it is set in the 1980s.

Oscar Isaac stars as the villainous Apocalypse, with James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Lucas Till (Havok) and Rose Byrne (Moira McTaggert) reprising their roles from X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past. New cast members include Lana Condor (Jubilee), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Olivia Munn (Psylocke). Check out the latest set photo below, and stay tuned for more on X-Men: Apocalypse.
