Where does Quicksilver get all that energy needed to run at speeds that break the sound barrier? From V, New Zealand's favorite energy drink, of course. Evan Peters is seen in a new tie-in promo photo that has the actor wearing his X-Men: Apocalypse costume. The image comes courtesy of Shannon Burnett, who did the hair and make-up for a new Frucor TV commercial. In it, Quicksilver will be expressing just how much he loves V.

We're not sure when we'll get to see this V energy drink commercial, but it will probably be a lot closer to X-Men: Apocalypse's release date this summer. This falls in line with some of the ads Evan Peters did for last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he was seen eating Carl's Jr., using his super fast Mutant abilities to catch a ketchup droplet before it had a chance to stain his precious costume. Who knows what kind of stateside commercials the actor will appear in this time around, but when it comes to the V commercial, you'll have to watch it on Youtube as it's a New Zealand product tie-in only.

Quicksilver will be back in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse, following his iconic scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past. During an interview with Collider, Evan Peters teased that his speedy character will have an even bigger scene this time around. Here's how he described it.

"Yeah, Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It's bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it's an amazing sequence that they've put together. Just filming it, I was like, 'Oh, my god!' I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It's so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it's going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it."

Unfortunately, we don't know any specific details about this sequence, or how he uses his super-speed to help out his fellow mutants. Or if these scenes will be utilized in the V energy drink commercial. We do know that the story is set in 1983, 10 years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past. The story centers on the villainous Apocalypse, as he assembles his Four Horsemen, Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Angel (Ben Hardy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), who has been living in exile after X-Men: Days of Future Past. When Professor X (James McAvoy) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) learn about Apocalypse's plans, they put together a team of mutants to stop his plan from going forward.

Producer Simon Kinberg recently revealed that the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse will arrive next month, attached to prints of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It isn't known if any part of the Quicksilver scene will be shown in this first trailer, or if we'll have to wait until the May 27, 2016 release date to see it unfold. Bryan Singer directs from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg, based on a story created by Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

The all-star cast also includes Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Rose Byrne (Moira McTaggert) and Lucas Till (Havok), who all reprise their roles from X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past for the sequel. New cast members include Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler). What do you think about these new details? Are you looking forward to this new Quicksilver scene in X-Men: Apocalypse?
