Right before Comic-Con kicked off last month, Fox Home Entertainment announced that their blockbuster mutant adventure X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on October 23. While the announcement did reveal that the 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD will have deleted scenes, it isn't known if any of those will be the footage featuring Anna Paquin as Rogue, who did appear in the movie briefly towards the end, but had a larger role in an earlier cut.

Producer Lauren Shuler Donner revealed in June that an Extended Edition of X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released at the end of this year, which will include Rogue's additional scenes. However, 20th Century Fox Executive Vice President of Marketing Communications James Finn revealed over the weekend that they are now planning on releasing the extended edition in 2015. Take a look at the tweets below, then read on for more details, although there will be spoilers if you haven't seen X-Men: Days of Future Past yet.

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) was sent back in time to his younger body, through the special powers of Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page). During an earlier cut, Kitty Pryde was injured, and couldn't hold Logan in the past. This lead to a few scenes that were deleted, one including Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) going on a mission to save Rogue from the Sentinels, so she could come back and help keep Wolverine in the past. There is another scene that where Wolverine and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) confronting Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence).
