Earlier this month, Paramount Pictures signed on to distribute the long-awaited sequel XXX: The Return of Xander Cage, which brings Vin Diesel back in his iconic role as the title character. Production has been under way for the past few weeks, and Vin Diesel certainly hasn't been shy about sharing photos and video from the set. Today we have a new batch of footage, which features the actor/producer's co-star Ruby Rose, while the latest photo offers our first look at Nina Dobrev. Paramount has also set a January 20, 2017 release date for the action-packed sequel.
XXX: The Return of Xander Cage will be going up against EuropaCorp's action-thriller The Lake, starring Sullivan Stapleton, and Universal's horror-thriller Split, starring James McAvoy. There are also four high-profile movies opening one week prior on January 13. Sony will debut the long-awaited adaptation The Dark Tower, with Paramount's Friday the 13th, Warner Bros.' Geostorm and Paramount's Monster Trucks also opening on that date.
The latest photos from XXX: The Return of Xander Cage showcase some of Vin Diesel's motorcycle training, which we also get to see in one of the videos. The actor/producer also released a video featuring his co-star Ruby Rose, while another image gives us a new look at Donnie Yen, who just came aboard earlier this month to replace another martial arts legend, Jet Li. It isn't known how long principal photography is expected to last for, but we'll surely get more images and videos from the set, thanks to Vin Diesel.

The supporting cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, returning as Augustus Gibbons from the first two movies, Deepika Padukone, Tony Jaa and Conor McGregor. D.J. Caruso (I Am Number Four) is directing xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. The film is written by Chad St. John (London Has Fallen) with current revisions by F. Scott Frazier (Collide).
