Warner Bros. has hired the writing team of Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia (Rio) to write the script for a sequel to 2010's Yogi Bear.

The live-action/CG animated Yogi Bear opened in theaters in mid-December with a modest $16.4 million domestically but eventually brought in more than $100 million in U.S. grosses. The film grossed another $100 million internationally.

Dan Aykroyd voiced the title character and Justin Timberlake was his sidekick Boo-Boo with Anna Faris, Tom Cavanagh, Andrew Daly and T.J. Miller starring in the live-action roles. Eric Brevig directed.
