An article in a local English newspaper has revealed that a young Talia al Ghul will be making an appearance in The Dark Knight Rises.

Ever since Marion Cotillard was announced as a member of the cast for this upcoming Christopher Nolan directed sequel, fans have speculated that the actress will be playing Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul. Even after it was revealed that she will be playing Wayne Enterprises executive Miranda Tate, these rumors continue to persist.

Whether Marion Cotillard is actually Talia al Ghul in disguise has yet to be determined. But it has now been confirmed that an 8-year-old version of this villainous character will be making an appearance in the film.

Actress Leilah De Meza was offered the part of young Talia al Ghul, but her mother turned down the part, as Christopher Nolan wanted the child to go completely bald. This is what the mother had to say.

"After careful consideration we turned it down as they were insistent that Leilah had to shave all her hair off. We were prepared to have it cut short but not shaved at such a young age. We were concerned how this could have affected Leilah's confidence and general social welfare."

Soon after this news was revealed, fans began to speculate that the young Talia will be appearing alongside Josh Pence as a young Ra's al Ghul. This has lead to the assumption that an adult Talia is a prominent part of the storyline. There is no word on who actually won the part of 8-year-old Talia.

This news has not been confirmed by Christopher Nolan's camp, nor anyone at Warner Bros.
