The Last Kiss: According to Variety, Lakeshore Entertainment has set Tony Goldwyn to direct The Last Kiss, and is making deals with Zach Braff and Rachel McAdams to star in the romantic comic remake of the Italian film "L'Ultimo Bacio."

Lakeshore optioned the original 2001 pic, which was directed by Gabriele Muccino. The company setPaul Haggis, who scripted the Clint Eastwood-directed Million Dollar Baby, as screenwriter.

The picture concerns a couple who live together and could be undone by questions of whether they are meant to be together.

The Last Kiss will begin shooting in April, after Braff goes on hiatus from his series "Scrubs." Braff made a screen splash directing and starring in Garden State. McAdams is coming off showy turns in Mean Girls and The Notebook.
