The latest issue of Empire Magazine comes with two very different covers, one featuring the heroes and the other promoting the villains of director James Gunn's sci-fi epic Guardians of the Galaxy. It will be a fight throughout the cosmos as Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) pulls an unlikely team of thieves, assassins and maniacs together to stop Thanos from ruling the galaxy. It won't be easy, though. On Thanos' side resides the deadly Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace), who rules with a heavy hammer. Also on the wrong side of human law are Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Korath the pursuer (Djimon Hounsou). Check it out as a bunch of assholes go up against the dark side of the universe, on newsstands soon.
Guardians of the Galaxy will have eight of its main characters featured on Empire Magazine this week in an issue that also contains an insightful look at the upcoming Marvel Phase Two movie with new interviews and behind-the-scenes info straight from the UK set.
Director James Gunn teases,
"There's a lot of strange stuff in the movie. But that's the thing that makes it different. For cinema to remain relevant, you really need to not make every film seem like it's Transformers 18 and to try to make things that are a little bit different."
You can read more when Empire Magazine hits international newsstands this Thursday. In the meantime, check out the latest UK trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy.
