Pirates Of The Caribbean 2 & 3: According to Variety, 2 sequels for last summer's blockbuster, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl may be in the works over at Disney as the studio hopes to secure funding for the filming of the 2 films simoultaneously.

Recent successes which have followed the same format are Warner Bros.' "Matrix" sequels and New Line's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Sources close to the film say the producers are pondering the possibility of back-to-back sequels, and talks have begun to secure the cast should Disney pursue that avenue.

Returning for at least one sequel are producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski, writers Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott, and talent Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.

Stay tuned for more on this project...
