The best 2018 Movies have almost all come and gone. It's hard to believe, but the year is nearly over and it's already time to look back at all of the great movies that were released in the last 12 months. A new video takes all of the highlights from the year and crams them into a 6-minute video set to three perfect songs. The video even packs in some of the movies that haven't been released yet, including Aquaman, Vice, and Bumblebee. It's all here from the action to the tear jerking and everything in between.

Marvel Studios' Black Panther was the movie that truly kicked off 2018, breaking records left and right, becoming a cultural phenomenon. The Ryan Coogler-directed comic book adventure is featured in the mashup video next to scenes from Annihilation, Christopher Robin, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald as well. Mary Queen of Scots is shown next to The Nun and Mary Poppins Returns. It's easy to lose track of all of the movies that came out this year and just focus on the box office monsters.

As far as the box office is concerned, Infinity War, Incredibles 2, Black Panther, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Mission: Impossible 6, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, The Grinch, and Venom all lead the domestic top ten for 2018. The worldwide list throws the recently released Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody as well as Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One into the mix as well. All of these movies are the ones that are easy to spot in the 2018 movie mashup video, pitted up against some underdogs like Mandy and Thoroughbreds.

It was a huge year for movie theaters in North America where the average box office ticket price was $8.97. It's believed that over 1.2 billion tickets have been sold so far, which makes for over $11 billion in sales and over a billion dollars more than 2017. That's not even counting movies that debuted on Netflix and other streaming platforms like Annihilation and The Cloverfield Paradox. Crazy Rich Asians was another movie that brought moviegoers into the theaters while Green Book is currently generating Academy Award buzz, which is also bringing people into theaters with Widows as well.

The year still isn't technically over, but it's pretty cool to look back in this mashup video and see things that you've seen multiple times, or to be reminded of something that slipped through the cracks over the busy year. So much stuff seems to fall through the cracks just because it's nearly impossible to keep up with everything that comes out in a year. Thankfully, the holidays are approaching, which should allow for some catchup time with some of the movies that you missed out on over the last 12 years. You can check out all of the movies from 2018 in around 6 minutes below, thanks to the Sleepy Skunk YouTube channel.
