After confirming last week that 21 Jump Street 2 will come out next summer, Sony Pictures has set a June 6, 2014 release date for the comedy sequel. As of now, the only direct competition it will face is from Paramount's Ninja Turtles reboot.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are returning as Schmidt and Jenko, with Dave Franco likely to return as Eric Molson. Michael Bacall is providing the screenplay, although it isn't known exactly when production will begin.

In related news, Sony has moved Think Like a Man 2 from May 30, 2014, to June 20, 2014, where it will face the DreamWorks Animation sequel How to Train Your Dragon 2. The studio has also set the comedy Sex Tape, starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz, for release on July 2, 2014, where it will face Disney's Maleficent.
