The comedy 21 Jump Street was one of last year's biggest surprises at the box office, taking in over $200 million worldwide, so it shouldn't come as any surprise that 21 Jump Street 2 is on the way. Today, actor Dave Franco, who played the drug-dealing Eric Molson in the original, revealed he may return for the sequel, despite Eric being locked up in prison.

"I've heard little things... They claim I'll be around. Who knows how much they can use me because I'm in jail at this point but I'm hoping they can find a creative way to have me be a pivotal part of the story."

Back in February, weeks before 21 Jump Street debuted in theaters, star Jonah Hill confirmed that he is already working on a sequel. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will return as Schmidt and Jenko. It isn't known if any of the other 21 Jump Street stars such as Brie Larson or Ice Cube will be back as well.
