The buzz is already quite high for 21 Jump Street, which opens in theaters nationwide March 16. It seems that 20th Century Fox is capitalizing on the momentum by lining up a sequel. Here's what star/co-writer Jonah Hill had to say about this impending follow-up.

"We are writing the sequel now. We got [the greenlight] by the studio to start writing the sequel."

While Jonah Hill doesn't specify who the "we" is, it may indicate that he is co-writing the sequel with Michael Bacall. Both Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall received story credit on 21 Jump Street, with Michael Bacall getting the screenplay credit. The actor-writer also said 21 Jump Street is the funniest movie he has ever starred in.

"It's punk rock. It's total mayhem. It's two young-looking cops going back to high school and they party with high school kids and go crazy. I'd say it's the funniest movie I've ever been in - that and Superbad. It's like a two-hour or hour-and-a-half party."
