A new CBS spin-off pilot has cast three of its leads. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Louise Lombard, Peter Cambor and Daniela Ruah have signed up for lead roles in the NCIS spin-off series.

Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J are in negotiations for the other two leads in the series. Lombard will portray Clara, the female lead of the series, who was a former military police officer and now a sharp investigator. Cambor will play Nate, a sharp-witted psychologist who has vast knowledge of American culture. Ruah will play Kensi, a young investigator who also studied criminology and forensics in college.

It was said that the spin-off will air as a regular episode of NCIS this spring, following suit with NCIS's pilot that aired as an episode of JAG in 2003.
