Actor Alec Baldwin made some cryptic comments at a New York City event last night, which indicate that the hit NBC comedy 30 Rock will end with Season 6, its next season. Here's what the actor had to say at the National Dance Institute fundraiser last night.

"I will tell you one thing. And that is next year is our last year of the show. Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina (Fey) is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She's going to be the next Elaine May. She'll be great."

30 Rock was given an early renewal for Season 6 in November, although there hasn't been any indication that it would be the final season until now. We reported last month that NBC also renewed Thursday night comedy companions Community, Parks and Recreation, and The Office. It seems the 2011-2012 season may be the last with this entire lineup intact, especially with Steve Carell leaving The Office at the end of this current season.

NBC and Tina Fey's representatives refused to comment on the story. 30 Rock's Season 5 finale will air on Thursday, May 5 at 10 PM ET on NBC.
