In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, bowing on DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's 300 took the top positions on Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's video rental chart.
Coming in second on both the sales and rental charts was Universal Studios Home Video's Hot Fuzz.
Fox Home Entertainment was all smiles as Pathfinder took the No. 3 slot in sales and came in No. 6 in rentals.
Not surprisingly, 300 ruled in the next generation format. It was the No. 1 "seller on the Blu-ray Disc and the HD-DVD charts."
For those keeping score in the format war, "the Blu-ray Disc version outsold the HD-DVD edition by a margin of nearly 2-to-1."
