It seems that those simple rules will be heading to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming W. Bruce Cameron book, 8 Simple Rules For Marrying My Daughter is coming to the big screen. The book is a sequel to his 2001 hit book 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter, which was turned into the hit TV series starring the late John Ritter.

Cameron will be adapting the book to the silver screen alongside Carolyn Michon, who authored the Grrl Genius Guide book series. The two had previously collaborated on the screenplay for Cook-Off! with Wendi McLendon-Covey.

The book, which is set to hit the stores on April 8, revolves around a divorced dad trying to manage with a younger girlfriend and two daughters who get engaged at the same time.
