We're on the eve of a big announcement as Warner Bros. unveils release dates for 9 of its upcoming DC Comics Movies. This does not count Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which just got moved from May 6, 2016 to March 25, 2016 to avoid a head-on collision with Marvel and its sure-to-be huge blockbuster sequel Captain America 3. Instead, Bruce Wayne and Kal-El will face-off against Axel Foley's return in Beverly Hills Cop 4.

None of the new DC Comics Movies titles have been released yet, but we already have a pretty good idea what some of these will be. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is setting up its Justice League franchise, so that is without question one of the next movies to be released by Warner Bros. Dwayne Johnson has spent most of July teasing an impending Shazam! announcement, so that's most likely one of these titles as well.

Here is what the release schedule looks like, which includes two more untitled Warner Bros. event pictures:

Untitled DC Film - 08/05/16 ( Shazam!?)

Untitled DC Film - 06/23/17 (Justice League?)

Untitled DC Film - 11/17/17 (Sandman?)

Untitled DC Film - 03/23/18 (The Flash and Green Lantern?)

Untitled DC Film - 07/27/18 (Wonder Woman?)

Untitled WB Event Film - 11/16/18 (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Part 2?)

Untitled DC Film - 04/05/19 (Man Of Steel 2?)

Untitled DC Film - 06/14/19 (Untitled Batman Reboot)?

Untitled DC Film - 04/03/20 (Lobo?)

Untitled DC Film - 06/19/20 (Justice League 2?)

Untitled WB Event Film - 11/20/20 (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Part 3?)

Right before Comic-Con, Nikki Finke reported that Warner Bros. and DC Comics were planning to announce their upcoming slate at the convention center. While that didn't happen, she claimed the titles included Shazam!, Sandman, Justice League, a Wonder Woman stand alone movie, a The Flash and Green Lantern team-up movie, and the true sequel Man Of Steel 2, which would finally give Superman another solo adventure after a number of team-ups. As of today, none of these titles have been confirmed by Warner Bros.

Here is what Nikki Finke's list looked like:

May 2016 - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

July 2016 - Shazam!

Xmas 2016 - Sandman

May 2017 - Justice League

July 2017 - Wonder Woman

Xmas 2017 - The Flash and Green Lantern team-up

May 2018 - Man Of Steel 2

You'll notice that three titles are unaccounted for in Nikki Finke's list (which was later confirmed by fanboy gadfly director Kevin Smith). Its possible that the three missing movies are an Untitled Batman Reboot, Justice League 2 and the long-rumored Lobo.

As for the two untitled Warner Bros. event pictures? Many beleive those are the two sequels to the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with each sequel being released in November two years apart.

It's not known when Warner Bros. will release a full list of titles to go with these release dates. Does this sound a little too ambitious for the studio? Or are you excited to see what WB and DC have in store for us over the course of the next five years?
