In an unconfirmed rumor being reported over at Ain't It Cool News, information has come out that there may be a scene being shot that would connect Jon Favreau's Iron Man to Louis Lettier's The Incredible Hulk.

Samuel L. Jackson has been confirmed as appearing in Iron Man in the role of Nick Fury, head of the international espionage agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (The character's appearance in Marvel's Ultimate books has been confirmed as being based on Jackson.) Rumor has it that there are similar, or possibly identical scenes involving Jackson being shot for both Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.

Lettier had been considered for Iron Man before Favreau was attached to direct, with The Incredible Hulk being offered to him by Marvel Executive Avi Arad after Favreau was brought on-board, so a connection between the two films isn't impossible to imagine. It seems even more possible in the wake of Joe Quesada's (Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics) comments about the possibility of an Avengers film being made.

Since this is still unconfirmed, take the news with a grain of salt. But the possibility of a cross-over being seen in Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk is certainly an exciting one.

Iron Man, starring Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Gwynth Paltrow flies into theatres on May 2, 2008. The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton, William Hurt, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth arrives just a little over one month later, hitting the screen on June 13, 2008.
