A Dog's Purpose is the second movie upcoming movie that takes a look at life through the eyes of a dog. Though director Todd Solondz's Wiener-Dog takes a much darker look at life as a canine companion. That movie follows a dachshund who is taken in by a veterinary technician named Dawn Wiener. They pair soon sets off on a road trip. The lovable dog also encounters a young boy, a film professor, and a troubled grandmother and granddaughter.

National Dog Day celebrates all breeds, pure and mixed and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues and pure breed rescues. National Dog Day honors family dogs and dogs that work selflessly to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort. Dogs put their lives on the line every day - for their law enforcement partner, for their blind companion, for the disabled, for our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs and pulling victims of tragedy from wreckage. Celebrate National Dog Day with the first trailer and poster for A Dog's Purpose, in theaters January 27.
