Alison Sudol, aka A Fine Frenzy, will make her acting debut on the season opener for CSI: NY, which airs Wednesday, September 26th (10:00-11:00PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Sudol will also perform two songs: "Almost Lover," the lead single from One Cell in the Sea, A Fine Frenzy's debut, and "Last of Days," another track from the album.

"Almost Lover" is already in the Top 30 at Mainstream AC radio and has been added by AC stations such as WLTW-New York, the most listened to station in the country, and KOST-Los Angeles where it is getting Top 10 airplay at both. The accompanying video, directed by acclaimed indie filmmakers the Brothers Nee, is in large rotation at VH1 and the band is currently on the road with Brandi Carlile for VH1's "You Oughta Know" Tour 2007. A Fine Frenzy will appear on VH1's Top 20 Countdown on September 29th just prior to the tour's two nights at New York City's Fillmore/Irving Plaza (10/3 & 10/4).

Sudol will be featured in upcoming issues of Vogue, Keyboard Magazine, Risen Magazine and A Fine Frenzy has recorded a searing version of "Fever" (the Peggy Lee classic) for the Dan In Real Life soundtrack, due out October 2nd. She is one of Nokia's featured artists for September/October and is included in Music Choice's "Fresh Crops" program for September. She was also featured in AOL's newly launched "About to Pop" section, which keeps an eye on upcoming artists who are poised to break big.

A Fine Frenzy's One Cell in the Sea debuted at #3 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart earlier this year. The album has scanned over 50,000 units thus far and sales have been increasing each week. The band, which was the first in 2007 to cross over from the new artist chart to Billboard's Top 100, has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Last Call with Carson Daly.

"The melodies on this debut are breathless ... imbued with piano swells," said Entertainment Weekly. "Such attention to the dramatic works wonders on stripped-down tunes like 'Almost Lover,' which lets Sudol's delicate voice take center stage." The album earned a four-star review from Paste, which found it "bursting with talent" while Harp observed: "A Fine Frenzy is a blend of sounds and influences ... where there's Ella, Aretha and Louis, there's also Radiohead, Sigor Ros, Aqualung and Keane."
