It might not be the most coveted piece of A Nightmare on Elm Street merchandise, but it comes close. The good folks at Jada Toys is turning Freddy's iconic car into a die-cast collectible. And it also includes a die-cast figurine of Freddy to top it all off, along with the perfect packaging in case you'd rather keep it in the box and on the shelf.

Jada Toys is presenting Freddy Krueger and his 1958 Cadillac Series 62 die-cast collectible as part of their Hollywood Rides series. The red convertible has a drop top in Freddy's signature sweater colors. And it arrives just as it was seen in the final moments of Wes Craven's seminal horror classic. Freddy had presumably been defeated by Nancy. Her best friends, believed to have been killed off by that iconic gloved hand, all gather in Glen's classic car. The top drops to reveal Freddy's red and green color scheme, and we all know right quick that this nightmare is far from over.

The toy car is set to 1:24 scale, with dimensions approximately set at L-9, W-3.25, H-2.25 inches. The Freddy figurine is approximately 2.75 inches tall. Though, he doesn't appear to fit inside the vehicle. The hood opens up to show the motor, and the Cadillac has working doors and a working trunk. It's a pretty impressive machine, and if you look close enough at the photos, you'll notice someone wearing a pink dress in the passenger's side of Freddy's tricked out ride.

Freddy's Cadillac is currently available for pre-order, with the car shipping sometime in June or July, though an exact arrival date has not yet been confirmed. The best part is the fairly reasonable price tag at $22.99, which seems like a true steal for such a cool looking collectible.

The car follows the recent release of the Mego Freddy Krueger action figure, that was made available to toy retailers this past month. Though Jada Toys and Mego are separate companies, both of these collectibles feature the same new Elm St. artwork, as it appears on both packages, featuring a green street sign and Freddy's iconic knifed glove dangling in the wind, ready to slice through its latest victim. This is the perfect gift for that Freddy fiend in your life, and comes as one of the cooler Elm Street toys currently available. Though you should move quick if you want to get your hands on it. There's no telling how long this will be available at such a great price.

3000toys.com is currently allowing pre-orders, and they have quite a few photos featuring the packaging, car and Freddy figurine as it stands alone. Too bad we don't get a better look at the passenger seated in the car. We're pretty sure it's supposed to be Nancy, as she was also wearing pink at the end of the movie. But Nancy's name doesn't appear on any of the product description. You can take a look at the photos here.
