Casting for A Quiet Place 2 is underway and it looks like Brian Tyree Henry might be signing on. John Krasinski is back on board after writing, directing, and starring in the first installment, which was a surprise box office smash. Krasinski was reluctant to come back for a sequel, but the studio was able to convince him to help out with some writing ideas. Before he knew it, he had the whole sequel outlined and with the push of his wife Emily Blunt, Krasinski submitted the story and agreed to come back and direct.

The release date of A Quiet Place 2 is March 20th, 2020, so production is going to have to start soon in order to stay on schedule. The studio recently announced that the sequel had been pushed up from its original May release, so it makes sense that the casting process is happening now. With that being said, Brian Tyree Henry is reportedly in talks with the studio to join the cast of A Quiet Place 2, which already includes Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe.

There is currently no information about the part Brian Tyree Henry is in talks to play. John Krasinski has been pretty secretive about his approach to A Quiet Place 2, but he is quick to note that it's not a typical sequel, which is something he is pretty proud of. As for Henry, he has quite the busy schedule ahead of him with the release of the Child's Play remake on the way later this month and a ton of other projects coming out in the near future, including Joker and Godzilla vs. King Kong.

John Krasinski recently spoke about A Quiet Place 2 and what we can expect in terms of what we shouldn't expect. It seems his idea for the movie was more based on stepping outside of the box from the usual big screen sequel to a successful first installment. Krasinski had this to say about what fans can expect not to see in the sequel.

"This isn't just a character to remake, or a group of characters or a story, it's actually a world. Which is a whole different, very unique experience... It's not like Alien or Jaws where the main villain is the thing you're repeating; it's an actual entire set of rules and the circumstance that the world has undergone that you can play in very different facets."

The original plan for A Quiet Place 2 was to take their time, according to John Krasinski. However, it looks like they have figured out exactly what they want to do since everything is moving pretty quickly and the release date has been moved up significantly. With casting happening now, production will more than likely begin in the next few months. The Wrap was the first to report the Brian Tyree Henry casting news.
