It seems that Guy Ritchie's upcoming film already has sequel plans, with one of Ritchie's former actors. According to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog, a sequel to Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes is already in the works, with Brad Pitt in negotiations to come aboard.

The site is reporting that Pitt would play longtime Holmes enemy Moriarty in the proposed sequel, althought a deal has not been reached yet. It was also said that Justice League: Mortal screenwriters Kieran and Michele Mulroney were being brought on to write the sequel. It was said that the original cast would likely return, as might Guy Ritchie return to direct.

Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong, Kelly Reilly, Eddie Marsan and will open on December 25. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further sequel updates as soon as we have more information.
