Serving as a period sequel to the 1960s set X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past will take place partially in 1973, a time when Mutants are targeted as lower class citizens, evoking the civil rights movement of the 60s and our own current battle with the Gay Rights issue. Yesterday, director Bryan Singer teased a /president-nixon-calls-a-pivotal-meeting-in-x-men-days-of-future-past-set-photo/photo from the set that featured then President of the United States Richard Nixon calling together a pivotal meeting in the White House. Today, he takes the action to the streets for a Vietnam War protest reenactment, showing off how key historical moments will play into the iconic comic book arc that serves as X-Men: Days of Future Past storyline, which finds the Mutants being wiped from existence. Check out the latest Tweet from the director himself.
