Aaron Taylor-Johnson is at the highest peak in his career thus far. After starring in hits like Kick-Ass and even being part of the MCU as Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron, he will soon return to the world of comics with Kraven the Hunter. But it is not the only great project he will be a part of.

Deadline reports that the actor is the latest star to join the new version of the 1922 horror classic Nosferatu, which has already begun filming with acclaimed director Robert Eggers (The Northman) at the helm. Taylor-Johnson will be joining Bill Skarsgård (Barbarian), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), Lily-Rose Depp (Wolf), Emma Corrin (Lady Chatterley's Lover), Willem Dafoe (Inside), Simon McBurney (Carnival Row) and Ralph Ineson (The Green Knight).

The original story takes place in 1838 and follows Hutter, a young assistant notary who travels to Transylvania to conclude a sale with a castle owner in the Carpathians. After the terrifying encounters and the ominous omens he has encountered along the way, he is greeted by the strange Count Orlock. After the first night, Hutter wakes up with a fang mark on his neck, but he prefers to think it's just insect bites. However, the count turns out to be the reincarnation of the vampire Nosferatu.
