ABC has picked up the soap drama, Football Wives.

Bryan Singer will possibly direct the show, as part of his deal with the network. Based on the British show, Footballer's Wives, it revolves around women whose lives are transformed when they marry NFL superstars, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Marco Pennette wrote the pilot script for Football Wives.
