Abigail Breslin is in talks to join Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming zombie thriller Maggie. We first reported on the project back in June, when Arnold Schwarzenegger signed on.

The story is set in a world where the zombie epidemic has spread across the country, following a father (Arnold Schwarzenegger) whose daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) has become infected, as he tries to get her to come to terms with the plague before becoming one of the walking dead. Chloe Moretz had originally signed on to play Maggie, but was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

Commercials director Henry Hobson is making his feature directorial debut, working from a script by John Scott 3, which landed on The Black List in 2011. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also producing alongside Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Matthew Baer, Trevor Kaufman, Colin Bates and Joseph Tufaro. Production is slated to begin this fall.

Abigail Breslin most recently starred in The Call, and she will next be seen in Ender's Game and August: Osage County this fall.
