Abigail Breslin is the latest actor to join Garry Marshall's upcoming romantic comedy ensemble New Year's Eve. This sort-of-sequel is a spin-off of last year's successful Valentine's Day, and will follow a similar set of vignettes that look at various different romances on this particular holiday.

Glee's Lea Michele also recently joined the growing cast, which is set to bring back some of Valentine's Day's biggest names, inclduing Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Hector Elizondo, Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts, and Queen Latifah.

No specific details were given about the new character that Abigail Breslin is gearing up to play. No production start date has been set either, but the film will be released on December 9th, 2011. Garry Marshall, who directed Valentine's Day, is expected to return to direct New Year's Eve as well.
