One of CBS' brand new comedies didn't get a full renewal, but it was given some extra life. According to Variety, CBS ordered five additional episodes of Accidentally on Purpose.

While the series hasn't exactly been a ratings juggernaut for the network, the show did post its highest rating on Monday's episode for it's highest rating since the show premiered. The "back-five" order, instead of the traditional "back-nine" order shows that the network sees promise in the series.

The show stars Jenna Elfman as a woman who becomes pregnant after a one-night stand with a younger man, and decides to stay with him.
