It seems a respected horror director has found his latest film project with Chris Columbus and his 1492 Pictures company. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Adam Green is set to direct the new film Killer Pizza.
Adam Green will also write the script for the film based off the novel by Greg Taylor. The story centers on a teenage boy who lands a summer job at a pizza place called Killer Pizza, which the boy discovers is really a front for a monster-hunting organization.
1492 Pictures will be teaming up with the Korean company CJ Entertainment for that film and they will also bring the Neil Gaiman novel The Graveyard Book to the silver screen as well. Neil Jordan is adapting Gaiman's book, which was previously set up at Miramax. We reported back in January that Gaiman indicated the film will be set up elsewhere and it seems he was right.
It was also reported that the 1492 Pictures/CJ Entertainment team will be producing Cape Demon as well. The film will be based off the book by Julie Kenner and Chris Columbus will not only be producing but will write the screenplay as well, which will be based off earlier drafts by Kevin Hageman, Dan Hageman and Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. The story centers on a soccer mom who steps up to rid her small town of its demon infestation.
