Hold onto your bow ties! Party Down is lighting up the sterno and busting out the charcuterie to bring the cult fan favorite back to Starz for a six episode run. Ken Marino, Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Megan Mullally have begun production of the third season of Party Down, helmed by the original creators Rob Thomas, Paul Rudd, John Enbom and Dan Etheridge. While Lizzy Caplan is unable to join, as she's currently working on her second Hulu project, Fleishman Is in Trouble, following the gratifyingly gruesome Stephen King series, Castle Rock, never fear the rest of the cast and creators have their trays in hand ready to serve up the second helping of that appetizing cringey comedy we've been waiting 10 years for.

Adam Scott wasted no time sharing the news, slipping into his Party Down Catering uniform, and sharing on Instagram. "Shortest wardrobe fitting ever," Scott jokes. He probably still had it hanging in his closet. Who doesn't have a pink bow tie, black pants and the snoozy white button down at the ready? Natasha Rothwell (Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Wonka, Insecure) gushes, "This makes me insanely happy. Jeffrey Nordling (Big Little Lies, Walker, The Locksmith) jibes, "I keep telling you, you’re really NOT that short! Relax, dude." "Yessssss!!!!" exclaimed Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Tonto). Drew said it for all of us. "This show did not get the credit (or amount of seasons) it deserved."

It's fun to see many of the current players in Hollywood praising the show; it surely speaks to them in a personal way. If you live in Los Angeles, you have a slew of friends who are trying to break into the biz, and what most all of them have in common is the string of dead-end jobs that they willingly leave without a thought of losing their day gig in the hopes of landing their scheduled audition. There is no weighing the part-time soul-sucking job against the chance to land a speaking role in anything! Their disposable jobs are part of their lifestyle.

A common story told is getting a commercial and nailing the line, only to be forever remembered as the catchphrase-delivering character. A friend was cast in a Christmas commercial over a decade ago that they continue to run every holiday season. He is that guy! While the residual checks pay for his holidays every year, he is greeted by strangers the rest of the year with his killer catchphrase.

The Last Ten Years Must Not Have Seen Henry Pollard Recover From His Commerical "Success"

party-down-still

For our poor Henry Pollard (Adam Scott), his clencher line on a beer commercial, "Are we having fun yet?" not only kills his career, but it haunts him on the daily. We'll see him still mixing it up with his co-workers who clearly are still struggling actors. How many times do you think the Charmin guy was asked not to "squeeze the Charmin" Every time he entered a grocery store? And that poor "Where's the beef?!" lady?

Grab your crinkly white button-down, the faded black dockers, and reappropriate that pink bow tie from your furry roommate, and get ready to Party Down.
