In a story from Variety, Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Jill Messick are in talks to produce Mean Moms for New Line.

Mean Moms will resemble Paramount's 2004 comedy Mean Girls. Both were adapted from advice books for parents by Rosalind Wiseman. Messick executive produced Mean Girls.

Mean Moms is going to follow a happily married mother of two who leaves small town America and goes to the high class suburbs. She is then faced with confronting the cut throat world of competitive parenting.

New Line currently has Dara and Chad Creasey adapting Wiseman's 2006 book "Queen Bee Moms and King Pin Dads: Dealing with the Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make -- or Break -- Your Child's Future."
