Adrien Brody is in negotiations to play the villain in Motor City for Warner Bros. and director Albert Hughes. The actor replaces Gary Oldman, who was in talks to star back in February before bowing out.

Gerard Butler stars as an ex-con who starts tracking down the men who framed him and sent him to prison, almost immediately after his release. Amber Heard and Mickey Rourke are also attached to star. Gary Oldman is not the first actor to drop out of the project. Dominic Cooper and Jake Gyllenhaal were previously attached.

Albert Hughes is directing from a screenplay by Chad St. John. Joel Silver is producing through his Dark Castle Entertainment company, alongside Andrew Rona, Ethan Erwin, Randall Emmett, and George Furla.

Production is scheduled to begin September 17 in Atlanta.
