In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, A&E Network has placed an order for 11 hours of the show Obsessed.

The show examines people who have such maladies as obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder and other phobias.

"Like our Emmy-nominated series Intervention, Obsessed balances intense human drama with redemption," stated Robert Sharenow, the senior vp alternative at A&E. "The series will take a raw, honest and emotional look at the world of anxiety disorders while offering those who suffer a path to recovery."

A&E hopes to showcase Obsessed during the second half of 2009.

The format of the show will last for one hour. It will examine how each disorder impacts the life of the person who has it.
